Simpson is serving time in a Nevada prison for armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and ten other charges more than a 2007 confrontation at a Las Vegas hotel. The former Hall of Fame running back was found guilty in 2008 for robbery 13 years to the day after he was cleared of murder charges for the slaying of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Simpson and five others broke into a Las Vegas hotel room to confront two sports-memorabilia collectors and seize items he claimed belonged to him from his career. Simpson told parole officials Thursday the objects he took were later determined legally to be his property. OJ can still draw national attention; networks interrupted their normal programming to cover the ruling of the parole hearing.
