Whether you agree with John McCains politics or not; no one can argue his commitment to his country. It is well documented about his military service and trails as a prisoner of war during Veitnam. He has served in Congress for decades and even had a unsuccessful run for President. Our best wishes go out to his family during these trying times!
John McCain’s office released the statement, shortly after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday providing news of the diagnosis came after Sen. McCain underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot above his left eye at the Phoenix’s Mayo Clinic on July 14.
Sen. McCain’s physicians said he is recovering nicely from the surgery and his underlying health is “excellent”. Sen. McCain and his family reportedly are reviewing additional treatment options with a care team at the Mayo Clinic, which may include a combination of radiation and chemotherapy. Sen. McCain was diagnosed with cancer before. According to medical records released during John McCain’s unsuccessful run for the Presidency in 2008, Sen. McCain had four malignant melanomas surgically removed in the past. In 1993, 2000, and 2002, Sen. McCain underwent operations to remove the Melanoma. Sen. McCain also underwent surgery in 2000 to remove a melanoma that was invasive.
